Loving Service

A belief I share with many others is the power of loving service. When we show up for those around us- our family, friends, community and beyond we are in a state of giving and flow.

The simple act of thinking of others and taking action to improve their lives gives us a sense of purpose and reason to overcome the stressors and challenges each one of us face.

We are all unique. We each have so much to offer. When we are in a stress state, we can feel too overwhelmed to look outside ourselves, to look to help others. Even small acts of service tell our nervous system that we must be okay if we are capable of helping others.

This is how we will end our reset, giving in loving service to those around us.

Today’s Activity:

Random Acts of Kindness

SOLO

You can get creative today or act in the spare of the moment to perform a kind act of service.

Some suggestions;

  • Hold the door open for a stranger.

  • Pay for someones coffee.

  • Call a friend just to see how they're doing.

  • Leave an anonymous encouraging note somewhere.

  • Smile at strangers.

  • Tell someone you admire what a great job they’re doing.

WITH YOUR KIDS

This is a beautiful one to involve your children. The power of a child’s innocent creativity can be so brightening to the soul.

Something as simple as a handmade card or drawing for someone that needs a lift is a very special act of kindness.

Bonus Tip…

Use today to reflect on the past 10 days.

In your journal write;

  1. What is one thing I have learned?

  2. What is one activity I will implement in the future?

  3. How will I cultivate stress resilience in my day-to-day?

  4. What is next for me?
